Here at Intrepid Athletics PDX, our goal is to empower members of the Portland community to achieve their health and fitness goals through our group classes or personal training services. In our gym, everyone who walks through the door is an athlete. Our Fitness classes incorporate barbell lifts, traditional body building, bodyweight movements, Strongperson (think tires and big stones), StrongFit principles, and gymnastics. We also offer nutrition and lifestyle guidance, team building and strength & conditioning for teen sports, and mobility and recovery training.
Our main focus is to teach everyone how to use their bodies and use the right muscles to build strength. The goal is functional fitness but we get there by emphasizing body mechanics (what muscle do you use), technique (how do you use them), and range of motion (how far to move). Whether you play professional sports or chase after your grandchildren, our style of training is scalable for everyone.
Our coaches take each person’s experience, movement quality, and pre-existing injuries into consideration. Learn to move with intention and challenge your mind and body in a fun and sustainable way. We want our members to walk out of our doors after a workout and feel like they are a better version of themselves. Celebrate your progress as well as your fellow community members in our warm, inclusive and supportive community.

Long term fitness and wellness is our goal for our members. We work out today so we can work out tomorrow. It's a journey, but our goal is to help you stay on it well into your 90s.
